Been stuck in my room with a sore throat for a couple of days, and am getting a little bored of just resting, so I spent a few minutes this evening painting the simplified contents of some of my shelves. The bottles and the plastic plant were here when I moved in.

I should be annoyed by the very non-vertical edge of the right-most support for the shelf, but I don’t mind it. The part of this sketch I find most unsatisfying is the shadow on the wall made by the plant at top-right. That shadow both fails to have the right feel and is the darkest object in the sketch, so it really draws my attention. If you watch the time-lapse quicktime (the MOV link), you’ll see I attempted to redraw the shadow at least once. Ah well, live and learn.
